COMMUNITY OUTREACH

The Community Outreach Program (formerly Special Projects) awards grants to worthy community projects assisting Latin American people in the areas of health, parenting, human development, art, and science.

SUPPORT OUR SCHOOLS

Support Our Schools (formerly Partners in Education Program) is an initiative created to support education programs in our community. To this end, PART of Austin makes annual grants to support the needs of Rodriguez Elementary School and BookSpring (formerly Reading is Fundamental). Funds for both grantees are included in the PART annual budget and may be supplemented by special gifts and/or fundraising.

This project is made all the more special because the school is named for Hermelinda Rodriguez, the first Mexican American woman principal in the Austin Independent School District, who until her death was a member of the Pan American Round Table of Austin.
